Birmingham LGBT is extremely pleased to be recruiting for a Senior Arts Officer to deliver and expand SHOUT Festival of Queer Arts and Culture, Birmingham as we join the Arts Council’s National Portfolio for 2018-2022.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading Queer Arts organisations and to shape the strategic vision and development of SHOUT Festival in and for Birmingham. The Senior Arts Officer will oversee the strategic management and development of SHOUT Festival, giving leadership and direction as we build on our existing festival delivery to deliver year-round artistic activity, artist development, and support the development of queer arts in the region.
This is a permanent part-time (18.5 hours per week) role, and will be responsible for the strategic management and development of the festival, working with partners, funders, and key stakeholders to develop and strengthen the sustainability, business development, income streams and build new opportunities for the festival as we grow and develop. This new role will join our existing Programming Officer and will be absolutely essential to the development of SHOUT as we enter this exciting new phase in our journey. We are looking for a person who is dedicated and motivated and has excellent skills in business development, fundraising, and organisational management.
